Our Class 117 - W51360 was purchased in September 2013
Formerly resident at The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway in Derbyshire, W51360 was purchased by CDRL and delivered to The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway on Friday 20th September 2013.
W51360 is identical in most respects to W51363, other than the obvious livery difference; W51360 is currently in 1970’s all over British Rail blue, and there are no immediate plans to change this arrangement.
In 2015 a “partner” for W51360 was acquired, Class 107 – SC52029, this will in turn allow CDRL volunteers to then systematically withdraw other vehicles from traffic in order to undertake more in-depth maintenance.
As of July 2014, CDRL maintain a total of five DMU vehicles most of which are available for service on the GWSR
The W51360 was purchased by CDRL and delivered to The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway on Friday 20th September 2013.
