Driver Experience Days

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway run a number of Driver Experience Days that provide you with a unique opportunity to operate a heritage diesel railcar.  Full details of the DMU courses available, along with other experience days, are available directly from the railway via this link.

If you require any additional information specific to the DMU courses, please contact us directly. This course costs £299 per person and allows up to two additional guests to travel free on the DMU that you are driving.

The following archive films from the 1950s show the preparation and operation of a 1st Generation Diesel Multiple Unit which is almost identical to those operated by Cotswold Diesel Railcar.  Those of you who choose to join us for a Driver Experience day will learn that little has changed in the last fifty years.
